Annie Sinclair is a Trainee Solicitor in our Private Crime Department, based in the London office, while also working closely with the teams in Reading and Oxford. Annie is involved at all stages of criminal defence work, from initial police investigations to Magistrate Court and Crown Court.

Annie works alongside highly experienced litigators and nationally recognised legal professionals, gaining valuable insights from leading experts in the field. She plays a pivotal role in case preparation, assisting Solicitors, Partners, and instructed King’s Counsel on complex and serious cases. Her responsibilities include liaising with the Police, Crown Prosecution Service, and the Court, taking instructions from clients and witnesses, drafting legal documents, preparing briefs for counsel, and assisting with court hearings, ensuring thorough preparation at every stage of the defence process.

Annie thrives in high-pressure situations and is known for her proactive, client-focused approach. Her proactive work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to client care have earned her glowing feedback from colleagues and clients alike. She is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for her clients and is known for her calm and reassuring nature, which helps clients navigate what can often be stressful and complex legal proceedings.

In addition to her casework, Annie is involved in the firm’s efforts to improve equality, diversity, and inclusion, having initiated discussions to bring Reeds Solicitors into a student reverse mentoring scheme with BPP University in 2025, aimed at enhancing EDI policies within the firm.

Academic Qualifications:
