James Ferry is the Head of the Family Department. James started the Family Department at Reeds in 2012.
James is a highly experienced solicitor and is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. James only represents children through their Guardians in care proceedings brought by the Local Authority and in complex private law Children Act cases. James is happy to receive new instructions from CAFCASS Guardians or competent children.
He has acted in a number of serious abuse cases and conducts the majority of his own advocacy at all levels of the Family Court. James has an excellent reputation with professional clients, and he is known as an efficient and child focused solicitor in often complex proceedings.
In the past James has been a Member of the Oxford Family Justice Board.
Outside of work James spends his time helping with coaching the Juniors at his local rugby club.
