Tasha Goodwin is a solicitor in the Family Law Department in Eastbourne.
Natasha has worked at Reeds since September 2021, first as a paralegal, then trainee solicitor in Family Law assisting with highly sensitive cases in Care Proceedings including Non-Accidental Injury, and Private Family Law matters including divorce and child arrangements. Tasha qualified as a solicitor in April 2024 and continues to work in the Family Law department in our Eastbourne branch.
In her work as a Family Law Solicitor Natasha specialises in representing parents in Public Law Care proceedings initiated by the local authority (Children’s Services). Tasha completes advocacy for her clients in Care Proceedings (representing clients in Court Hearings), ensuring seamless representation throughout.
Tasha also represents parents during pre-proceedings matters (PLOs / MBAs) brought by Children’s Services, with the aim for matters to be stood back down to Child Protection Plans / Child in Need Plans, as opposed to the matter escalating to Care Proceedings. If matters do escalate to Care Proceedings or Private Law proceedings, Natasha offers continuous representation.
Tasha also assists clients in Private Law proceedings, namely legal aid Divorce matters and Section 8 Orders (such as Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders), in particular where there are issues concerning domestic abuse.
Natasha is very proactive. Her client’s objectives are the focus of her advice. She is a clear communicator who ensures clients are listened to, and ensures their objectives and concerns are relayed to the other parties. She handles her cases with the utmost care. She has excellent time-management and organisation skills, making sure that she completes all her tasks efficiently and to the highest standard.
Natasha holds a First Class Honours Law degree (LLB), and a Distinction in Postgraduate and Masters in Law (LPC LLM) with the University of Law, London.
