Maheshi Dissanayake is an Associate Solicitor working in our Mental Health team based in London. Maheshi currently advises clients subject to the provisions of the Mental Health Act, prepares cases for tribunal hearings, assists clients by attending CPA meetings and represents them at Hospital Managers’ Hearings.

Maheshi became a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Accreditation Scheme in 2015. Maheshi went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2016. Prior to joining Reeds, Maheshi worked as a Solicitor in a Law Firm based in London.

Maheshi Dissanayake is committed to asserting the rights of those subject to the Mental Health Act and representing clients who seek their discharge from detention or who no longer wish to be subject to the provisions of the Mental Health Act.

Maheshi’s strengths are her excellent communication skills, and she takes great pride in building a rapport with her clients during their cases. Maheshi is also extremely organised and proactive, meaning that her cases are always handled with the utmost care.
