Rebecca Eleady-Cole is a Senior Associate Solicitor and Team Leader in our Eastbourne office. Prior to joining Reeds, Rebecca was in the employ of Messrs Lawson Lewis Blakers Ltd for 9.5 years. She started out doing general family matters, including matrimonial, children both Public and Private Law to include wrongful removal from the jurisdiction, Injunctions and Trust of Land Act. Since 2014, when she attained membership of the Children’s Panel, Rebecca’s case load mainly consists of Public Law and Private Law Children Act matters.
Rebecca is conscientious, hard working and a good communicator. She has a good work ethos and is a team player.

Recent and notable cases
The Court considered that the correct and proper approach to a Section 38(6) Assessment. The
House of Lords determined that the scope of Sec38(6) did not extend to treatment or therapy for the family.
Guidelines were set by the Court of Appeal, to determine the basis on which a person with mental disability can be held in contempt of court following breach of a Court Order.
