Asia Khatoon is a Trainee Solicitor in the Mental Health department at Reeds Solicitors in Manchester. She directly supports Team Leader Zac Sussex.
In her current role, Asia visits clients, takes notes on their instructions, and reviews the paperwork and medical records. She then creates detailed report summaries. She is currently working towards her mental health accreditation, which will enable her to represent clients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
Asia graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2022, having completed both a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Master of Legal Practice. Before joining Reeds, she gained substantial experience at a Personal Injury firm specialising in military industrial disease claims as a fee earner and team leader. This role developed her skills in client contact, file handling and case management.
Her commitment to excellent client service has been formally recognised through two prestigious awards: the Excellency Award in 2023 and the Peoples Champion Award in 2024.
Asia’s combination of legal expertise, practical case management experience, and genuine care for client wellbeing makes Asia a valuable member of the Mental Health team as she continues her professional development in this specialist area of law.
