Social Services & Care Proceedings
Led by James Ferry, our Public Family Law team advises and represents parents, children and family members where Social Services have become involved.
The team regularly act in care proceedings and Pre-Proceedings (PLO) meetings. We also represent children through CAFCASS and have solicitors accredited by the Law Society’s Children Panel.

If the instruction is a private family law matter, we offer fixed fees wherever possible or you will be quoted an estimate based on hourly rates.
Our public family law department has a contract with the Legal Aid Agency meaning that we can offer our clients the benefit of public funding for certain cases, including representation in care proceedings.
There may be times where legal aid is unavailable, or not the desired approach (such as requiring a more bespoke and tailored approach). At Reeds we are upfront with all our costs.
