Natalie Dodds is a Senior Associate Solicitor & Team Lead in our Court of Protection & Mental Health Department, based in our Luton office.

Natalie graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2012. Then, she commenced her Legal Practice Corse at De Montford University in 2013 alongside a training contract, qualifying in 2016.

Since 2012, Natalie has specialised in Mental Health Law and has been a Mental Health Accredited Representative since 2014.

From 2013-2018, Natalie was the Head of Department of both Mental Health and Public Children Law at a busy Shropshire firm. She then went on to set up and manage another successful Mental Health Department until joining Reeds in 2024. Natalie brought with her a wealth of experience and a fantastic reputation in Mental Health Law.

Natalie routinely provides advice and representation to patients who have been detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. This involves dealing with complex and highly sensitive matters, including those who have been convicted of some of the most serious offences and those who are detained in high secure hospitals.

She also has extensive experience in representing individuals who lack capacity. Natalie is regularly appointed by the Tribunal Service to provide representation in Best Interests. She prides herself on her representation of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

With her wealth of experience, Natalie is able to build strong rapports with patients and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Most recently, Natalie has accepted Section 21A appeals and hopes to develop her experience in the Court of Protection.
