Megan Berry is a Paralegal & Caseworker in our Prison Law department, based in our Manchester office. Megan joined Reeds in October 2024, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in Prison Civil Litigation and Coronial Inquests, having gained over two years’ experience within a renowned Top 10 Global Law Firm.

Megan has also expanded her experience and demonstrated her passion for client care through volunteering at Support Through Court in the Liverpool Civil and Family Courts.

Since recently joining the Prison Law Team at Reeds, Megan is responsible for representing prisoners appearing before the Parole Board. Megan represents clients deemed serious and violent offenders, subject to Determinate, Indeterminate and Imprisonment for Public Protection prison sentences.

Megan regularly attends both face-to-face and virtual meetings with clients to take instructions, to prepare representations in support of release, recall re-release and transfer to open conditions, as well as preparing clients for Parole Board Oral Hearings.

Megan has an outstanding commitment to excellence and prides herself in being approachable and supportive to ensure all client’s needs are put at the forefront of each case. Megan understands that the Parole process can be a difficult time for both the clients and their families, and therefore, offers a patient and understanding approach to ensure the appropriate and suitable steps are taken secure a positive outcome. Finally, Megan also understands and is passionate about the vital importance of maintaining thorough organisation to ensure all processes are handled smoothly and efficiently.
