Tasnim Salauddin is a Trainee Solicitor and Crown Court Caseworker in our Princes Risborough office. She helps clients to understand their options, the prosecution’s case and their case, guiding them through the strengths and weaknesses of their case and potential outcomes.

She specialises in criminal cases that have progressed to the Crown Court. Tasnim’s role also includes undertaking conferences with clients on bail and those remanded in custody. She works on a diverse range of criminal cases, including possession with intent to supply Class A substances, non-fatal strangulation, domestic offences and various sexual offences.

Tasnim is responsible for case preparation, including thorough reviews of evidence, preparing witness statements, drafting defence case statements and taking instructions from clients.

Currently Tasnim is working towards obtaining her Police Station Accreditation and is preparing for her solicitor exams, so she can enhance her professional qualifications and commitment to legal excellence.

Tasnim is known for her excellent client care and strong rapport with clients. She prioritises building lasting relationships with both clients and barristers. Recently, Tasnim attended a three-week trial at Aylesbury Crown Court where she, alongside counsel, secured a full acquittal for a client charged with non-fatal strangulation, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and controlling and coercive behaviour. This case involved extensive case preparation, including multiple witness statements.

In another matter, Tasnim secured a full acquittal for a client facing charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, theft, and non-fatal strangulation. She successfully represented the clients in discussions with the CPS to review the prosecution’s case. This case carried the potential for a four to five year custodial sentence.

Additionally, Tasnim worked closely with instructed counsel and a psychiatrist to obtain an expert report for a client with significant mental health issues. The client was facing charges of dangerous driving and child cruelty. With the support of the psychiatric report, Tasnim helped to secure a 14-month suspended sentence for the client, avoiding immediate custody.
