Atalanta Sanders is a Barrister in the Complex Crime Department at Reeds Solicitors, based in the London & Oxford office. She regularly represents clients nationwide in the Crown Court, Magistrates’ Court, and Youth Court. She is fiercely committed to advocacy and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for her clients.
Atalanta’s journey with Reeds started as a caseworker. She worked closely with the Head of Complex Crime, Julian Richards, and Reeds Partner Beth Mantel. Her work was largely centred around the hack of the ‘Encrochat’ network and the National Crime Agency’s ‘Operation Venetic’. This experience has given her a strong background in serious crime, regularly working on cases involving drugs and money laundering conspiracies, firearms, and murder.
Following her time as a caseworker, Atalanta completed her advocacy training at a leading criminal Chambers in London before returning to the Complex Crime team at Reeds. She completed the Bar Course at The Inns of Court College of Advocacy in 2023, having previously distinguished herself as Winner of the 36 Group Oral Advocacy Competition in 2022.
Known for remaining calm under pressure and working tirelessly for her clients, Atalanta combines technical legal expertise with compassionate client care. Beyond her practice, she volunteers with the School’s Consent Project. There, she assesses new volunteers before they deliver workshops to secondary school children and other organisations about rights and responsibilities surrounding sexual consent. This work reflects her broader commitment to justice and community education.
