Ayelen White is an Associate Barrister within the Private Crime team in our Leighton Buzzard branch. Ayelen read Jurisprudence at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford, before going on to complete her academic legal training at BPP.

Ayelen joined Reeds in 2016. She is a highly skilled and dedicated criminal barrister with a broad practice that spans all areas of criminal law. With police station accreditation, Ayelen offers comprehensive legal support, providing seamless representation from the police station through to trials at the Crown Court, ensuring that clients receive continuous and expert guidance throughout their case.

As a hands-on advocate, Ayelen is deeply involved in every aspect of her cases, including proactive work at the investigation stage. She meticulously examines evidential disclosure and conducts detailed preparatory work, often leading to early favourable disposals by the police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Ayelen regularly appears in the Crown, Magistrates and Youth Courts, handling a wide range of criminal offenses, including offences against the person, drug-related crimes, sexual offenses, dishonesty offences and more. She also represents military personnel in Court Martial proceedings, offering expert legal representation in the context of military justice.

Notable cases include acquittals for serious assaults, supply of Class A drugs, armed robberies, dangerous driving, sexual offences, false imprisonment and threats to kill. In addition, Ayelen secured one of the first acquittals in the importation of childlike sex dolls and she was a Led Junior in a multi Complainant historical sexual offences matter. Ayelen also represents military personnel in Court Martial proceedings both in the UK and abroad; notable cases include the acquittal of soldiers accused of GBH and persuading the prosecution to dismiss a case against her client for affray.
