Ffion Burnell is currently a Trainee Solicitor working for the Cardiff Mental Health Team. She is based in the Cardiff office and works as part of the mental health team, assisting with matters relating to mental health law and client care.
Her main responsibilities are currently more administration-based and include case preparation, drafting correspondence, preparing documents, managing files, and supporting the wider team with the day-to-day running of matters. She also assists with taking instructions from clients and maintaining accurate records. Ffion regularly undertakes client visits and assists with Hospital Managers’ Hearings, helping to support clients throughout the process and ensuring they are kept informed.
She is currently developing her legal knowledge and practical skills in mental health law, with a view to qualifying as a solicitor.
Prior to joining the Cardiff Mental Health Team, Ffion took part in the University of South Wales Legal Clinic, where she gained valuable practical experience assisting members of the public with legal queries and matters under supervision.
