Lauren Potts is a Solicitor in our Bristol Crime Department.
Lauren has shadowed a Crown Court Judge, joining him on the bench in a variety of cases. Her legal experience was further broadened during a visit to the Supreme Court of New York, where she observed a murder trial.
In 2023, Lauren graduated from the University of Law with an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Law and Criminology. She subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and was awarded her Master’s degree in 2025. Lauren attained her Police Station Accreditation in 2025, qualifying her to represent and advise clients during police interviews and ensuring that their rights are protected throughout the police station process.
She specialises in criminal defence and has experience representing clients across a wide range of criminal matters, including serious and high profile cases. Lauren is passionate about advocacy and is committed to providing clients with clear, effective legal advice and representation throughout their case.
Lauren regularly attends court and works on trials involving a wide range of criminal offences, including the most serious offence of murder. Her passion for advocacy began during her time at university and has continued to grow throughout her career. She takes a meticulous and thorough approach to each case, carefully examining evidence to identify details and information that may strengthen her client’s position.
