Lorna is a Trainee Solicitor based in Reeds’ Oxford office. She is known for her compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients. For her, this work is more than just a job. She understand the impact legal proceedings can have on people’s lives. Therefore, she always strive to support clients in a way that is both professional and human.
At Reeds, Lorna plays an important role in managing client onboarding. She collects initial client details, arranges meetings and supports the running of cases. Lorna also assists in instructing Counsel, drafting and sending briefs, and liaising closely with barristers to ensure cases are fully prepared for hearings.
Lorna manages her own caseload of PLO clients, offering advise and guidance prior to meetings and after meetings. She regularly shadows Anne Davies in court, gaining hands-on experience in case management hearings, final hearings, and judgments.
Having achieved a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course (LPC) from the University of Law, she has since worked for Truemans Solicitors as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant. She also has experience as a Support Worker, which gave her a deep understanding of the complex needs faced by vulnerable young adults and children.
Lorna prides herself in being a strong communicator, both with clients and other professionals. She makes a conscious effort to ensure clients feel heard, understood, and kept fully informed throughout the process.
She is outcome-driven and works hard to secure the best possible results for my clients, never shying away from going above and beyond when necessary. Whether it’s thorough preparation or giving extra time and support, Lorna ensures that clients feel well represented and supported every step of the way.
