Sharon Porton is a Junior Criminal Law Caseworker, working in the Bristol Magistrates Team, based in the Bristol office. As a Caseworker, Sharon assists the acting Solicitor in the preparation of cases for trial and manages client files on a day-to-day basis. Her tasks include obtaining Legal Aid for clients, reviewing evidence, instructing experts where needed, as well as taking defence statements and client instructions.
Prior to joining Reeds, Sharon studied English Literature at the University of the West of England where she obtained her Degree. Following this Sharon worked in marketing for a range of different organisations before taking a career break in order to assume a caring role required within her family. Sharon utilises her strong writing and communication skills in her role as Caseworker and has a caring and empathetic approach to client care.
