Saimah Sharif is a highly experienced Prison Law Consultant working in our prison law team, based in our Milton Keynes office. Working in all areas of prison law, she undertakes case preparation, drafting representations, representing clients at Adjudication and Parole Board hearings.

Saimah has over 20 years’ experience representing clients in prisons across the UK. She advices on complex matters including Determinate and Indeterminate Recalls, Home Detention Curfew Applications, Sentence Calculation, Sentence Planning, Parole Reviews for IPP & Lifers, Pre-Tariff Reviews, Re-Categorisation, PRARR and Category A reviews, and Reconsideration Applications.

Saimah is an outstanding communicator who focuses on providing excellent levels of client care. She has extensive advocacy experience and fights hard for her clients. Saimah has knowledge in family law and has advised clients in this area. She is extremely organised and proactive, meaning that her cases are always handled with the utmost care.

Fluent in Urduu and Punjabi, and experienced in assisting foreign national clients, Saimah ensures accessibility and cultural understanding throughout the process. She has acted in noteworthy cases before the Parole Board in which the Secretary of State for Justice has had a representative.
