Malik Siddique is a Criminal Defence Solicitor in our Crime department at Reeds, based at our Coventry office. He represents clients across the full spectrum of criminal proceedings.

He is a Duty Solicitor accredited for Police Stations, Magistrates’ Courts, and Youth Courts, and regularly advises and represents clients from the earliest stage of investigation through to court proceedings.

Malik’s practice includes police station attendance, case preparation, and advocacy in the Magistrates’ and Youth Courts. He also has experience in the Crown Court, including conducting advocacy where appropriate and assisting with case preparation alongside Counsel, and is keen to further develop his Crown Court advocacy practice as part of his ongoing professional development.

He is known for his calm, methodical approach, particularly when dealing with clients who are vulnerable, anxious, or facing proceedings for the first time. Malik places strong emphasis on ensuring clients fully understand the process, their rights, and the decisions being made on their behalf.

Alongside his day-to-day casework, Malik works collaboratively with colleagues across the firm and is committed to continuous development, maintaining high standards of preparation and advocacy.

Prior to joining Reeds, Malik practiced as a Criminal Defence Solicitor at a well-established regional firm, where he undertook a demanding caseload covering police station advice, Magistrates’ and Youth Court work. During this time, he regularly acted as a Duty Solicitor and was entrusted with complex and time-sensitive matters.

Malik has extensive experience advising clients under pressure, managing contested hearings, and preparing cases efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care. His previous role(s) have further developed his ability to balance robust representation with professionalism and discretion.
