Louisa Harrison is a caseworker, in our Private Crime Department, based in our Oxford office.
Assisting on a range of criminal defence matters including pre-charge investigations, Magistrates Court proceedings, Crown Court cases and regulatory matters. Her role includes supporting fee earners with case preparation and progression, attending client meetings and taking instructions from clients, liaising with clients and counsel, reviewing case papers, preparing legal documents, arranging conferences and hearings, and maintaining case files to ensure matters are handled efficiently.
Prior to joining Reeds Louisa graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelors of Law (LLB) in Law with Criminology with Honours. Alongside her studies she achieved the BrookesEdge Award, recognising her commitment to personal and professional development. Louisa has also volunteered in the Oxford Crown Court assisting individuals through the legal process when completing her undergraduate degree. Oxford Brookes University selected Louisa to write a profile regarding her experience studying to recognise her hard work and dedication to the course to help others wishing to study.
She is currently undertaking the LLM Legal Practice (SQE1 & SQE2) Masters whilst working at Reeds, through which she is developing the legal knowledge and practical skills needed to prepare for and complete the SQE examinations to qualify as a solicitor whilst gaining invaluable hands-on experience within a professional legal practice. Her ambition is to pursue a career as a Criminal Defence Solicitor within the Private Crime sector.
With Louisa’s passion and determined nature, alongside her excellent communication skills, she is committed to providing a high standard of client care and building strong professional relationships, ensuring clients feel supported and understood throughout the legal process with compassion. Louisa is also highly organised, hardworking, and proactive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
