Shireen Khalil is a Trainee Solicitor in our General Crime Team. She is based in our Bristol office. She is currently gaining hands-on experience in the Police Station team, where she assists with the opening of Police Station files, transcribes interviews, and supports case preparation. She observes police station attendances and takes detailed notes of the interview process to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in case handling.

Shireen recently attended court for a rape trial, where she took detailed notes and provided moral support to the client and their loved ones, demonstrating her compassionate approach to client care in sensitive matters.

Before joining Reeds, Shireen worked as a Personal Assistant at the Government Legal Department, where she handled diary management and supported various administrative functions. She also brings valuable experience from her previous role as a Case Administrator in the Bristol Magistrates Court Probation Team. Additionally, Shireen volunteered as a Legal Advocate and Support Volunteer at the Bristol Law Centre, further developing her legal skills and client support experience.

Shireen is passionate about delivering exceptional client care and excels in engaging with clients to provide effective support. She is known for her strong communication and organisational skills. Shireen is also deeply committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the firm and is eager to contribute to these areas.

Shireen holds an LLB Law degree and is currently pursuing her LLM Master’s in Law at The College of Legal Practice. Alongside her studies, she is preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams and will soon acquire her Police Station Accreditation to further enhance her client-facing experience during her training.
